We are a friendly and welcoming group who spend our Friday mornings playing ukulele and singing along as we strum. The emphasis is on having fun. We play a variety of songs using our own self-curated songbooks which cover songs of all genres….country, pop, rock ‘n’ roll etc. Some are old favourites, but we also attempt some newer and more challenging tunes. We welcome both experienced players and beginners, although we do ask that beginners bring their own ukulele. We take the time to integrate new players into the group and there is always help on hand.

There is a subscription of £10 every 7-10 weeks, depending on numbers, which covers the cost of the room hire.

In the past some of the group have performed mini-concerts for local care-homes, sheltered-housing, and community groups. This was in addition to the Friday morning meetings, and we are hoping to continue performing, from time to time, for those who want to join in.

We also have a social lunch at the pub next door on the last Friday of the month and all group members are very welcome.
