Group Details For Art History 1

Members of the Art History group share a love for all aspects of art and art history, and we discuss an eclectic mix of aspects of art including artists, paintings, genres, terms used in art, periods and schools. Using PowerPoint our sessions are very visual, and when appropriate we also use music, poetry, historical writings and fiction to enhance our enjoyment and understanding of the topics we are studying. Members of the group contribute to the lively discussions and everyone's views are listened to and respected. Previous experience of groups like ours is not necessary but a love of art and a questioning mind most certainly are!

Between April and August 2025 Art Groups 1 and 2 will combine and meet between 2.00pm and 4.00pm in Southside Methodist Church, London Road.
